Hawkeye Focusing: How Important?

I don't have a clear idea regarding the usefulness of the focusing feature of the

Hawkeye Pro SuperSlim

vs. the apparently non focusing "Classic Slim"

I may or may not use a camera attachment in the future. There is roughly $300 difference between the two kits:

  • (I don't care about light or lighting appliance differences -- I am only concerned about the quality of the image and ease of use, >with< OR >without< a still or movie camera.)

IF, your eye sight doesn't change in your lifetime purchase the fixed focus.

In the long run, you'll wish you purchased the adj focus.

I've had my no-focus Hawkeye borescope for more than a decade and have had zero issues looking at .22-.30 cal barrels. The non-focus is a non-issue.

I disagree. I had thought about going with the base model, but a good friend of mine offered his deluxe set up to me so I bought it. I am very pleased I did. I use the focus feature almost every time I use it. Lee
