Here's the results from a Score Match held at the Harrison Sportsmen's Club today.

In VFS:
1st. Larry Feusse 250-24X
2nd. Jim Hutchison 250-23X
3rd. Dan Gorleau 250-21X

Factory Class
1st. Larry Feusse 249-12X
2nd. Jim Quinn 236-3X
3rd. Steve Walewski 226-1X

Congratulations Larry for winning both classes, the VFS score ties the range record. Congrats also to all the shooters who shot in some trully decieving conditions.

I'd like to take a minute to wish Mike Conway Good Luck with his impending surgery and hope he has a sucessfull and speedy recovery. Mike is instrumental in running the Harrison matches. He is our liaison with the culb's board of directors dealing with the issues of using the range. Mike also is the first one through the gate the morning of the matches to set up the PA system and insure the range is ready for our use. Mike shot his last match for the season today, we'll be awaiting the return of the "improved":D Mike next season.

Full results and equipment list are in the attachment.

Good match...

Al, thanks for your timely report. After a forecast of thunderstorms all week, we had beautiful weather that lasted till we were done at the pub after the match.

Larry is turning into a darn machine... That's TWO 24X scores in a row. Watch out IBS Score Nats! The wind down at Chippewa is like our's... it blows in three directions at once all day.

We had a nice turnout... nineteen shooters which is more than they had at the State Championship the preceding weekend. The number one shooter (now retired) on the Wright Benchrest Team was there. Maybe next time we can get her to shoot.

Guys are getting smart. The Grand Rapids area guys carpooled. Put three men in a car and all of a sudden your gas costs are back to reasonable again.

Thanks to all who came. Group match next Saturday the 26th.

Dick

Perfect Day

Great shooting Larry. Of course Hutch was right on your heels. The day was picture perfect. Competition was intense right up until the end. Of course Brian got me on Creedmore for fourth. I would have expected nothing less. I Love It.
Thanks for the very kind words and good wishes Al. I will be back on my feet and better then ever. Unfortunatly it is going to take at least six months to accomplish. Melanie is going to e-mail Dick and let him know how everything went and he can let you know what's up from there.
Jeff, you better thank Viv for being such a good sport on saturday. Oh Yeah, and you to.
See Everyone In The Spring

Mike,

We will be waiting for Melanie's email. Good luck and, fer Gawd's sake, will you do what the doc says... just once?

We'll do our best to take care of the matches in your absence. Am I correct in that you will have a laptop with you and will be using it as soon as you can?

Let us know when you get home and can have visitors. A little Wild Turkey really helps a speedy recovery.;)

Laptop

Once I get home from Beaumont I will have a laptop in the bedroom with me. Don't know how soon I will feel like using it. I can only get up for thirty minutes three times a day for the first three months and I am told they are going to keep me pretty woozie for awhile.
I am pretty sure that the Doc would frown on a little taste of "Wild Turkey" mixed in with the Feel Good Drugs I am going to have to take but I will put it on my list of things to check on.:)

Thanks
Mike

Great match, thanks to all of ya that put it on….Frank thoroughly enjoyed himself, after many years of across the course shooting it is a relaxing sport for him. We were not antisocial for not going to McFarland’s; we just had an agenda to adhere to, when ya pack three in one vehicle, everyone has a say. Franks grandson’s birthday party was that afternoon and we wanted to make it home for that. Also Frank and I were gone all day Sunday shootin F-Class at Cadillac, think we had enough for the weekend, at least my wallet says so….

Good luck Mike!!! Hope it all turns out ok for ya…

I am still short a group gun, all the parts are out there somewhere and it looks like I won’t have them for this season so the next match we will not be there. We have a tentative plan to make Oscoda on the 9th of Aug, pending the 3 of us split the cost and the next score match at Harrison.

Regards… Rick

This is the first time ever...

that I remember when fuel costs were a consideration when going to nearby matches. Now you're nutz if you don't think about it.

Rick, I got a really good group gun caliber for you... it's called a 30BR. Try it.

See announcement for next week's match.
