We headed out for Florida today, LATE, as usual. Got to Carlisle, Pa before the urge for rest and a good supper overtook us so we hove too. We'll get at er again tomorra and see how far we can get. It's kinda nice not having a schedule or having to be anywhere in particular. :)

Francis,

You didn't get such a late start Pete. Seems to me in years past you've had to brave the snows of the north country.

he doesn't "brave" snow very well these days. If he did he woulda stayed around for the Winter of 2014-2015...that was one hellacious stretch of weather snow and cold wise. I never thought it would end, but end it did. Now we are on the door step of another. Perhaps he has the right idea? Merry Christmas all.

Have a safe trip down there Pete and Happy Holidays! Polish up on your Spanish, I'll rough it out up here in the Great white North.

Don't forget, according to prior arrangement, I'm shoveling Pete's snow during November and December. You and Jim Pag have It all covered for December and January.
Thanks a lot Francis!!! I have enough problems taking care of this mountainside dump that I live in. Whatever possessed me to move north I'll never know. Momentary lapse of reason with a lot of brain damage thrown in, because you have to have a LOT of brain damage living in this God forsaken place. Anybody with any brains lives below the Mason-Dixon line. Bad enough I have to go find me a 450lb Maine farm girl to twitch out about 10 cord of wood. Weather is not cold enough to use the skidder because it leaves too many ruts in the woods. Just hook her up in this special harness that I have with a stick mounted on her shoulder pointing ahead about 2 feet with a Twinkie attached to a string just ahead of her mouth. Just like in the episode of the 3 Stooges when they traded their diner for a racehorse and Larry was the horse's jockey and they were at the racetrack and Curly accidently thought he was feeding the horse peanuts but they were actually hot pepperinos. Remember the horse was going the wrong way and Moe & Curly grabbed that motorcycle with the sidecar and they grabbed a long pole with a water bucket and they went around the track with the bucket attached to the pole so that the horse was chasing the water bucket. Same idea! Works great, don't have to waste money on diesel, good for the environment, so many benefits. LMAO!

if you want ANY moderation in snow and cold you need to live Portland or below or along the Atlantic coast. You shot a "manly 9" when you picked North New Portland!!! That, baby, is snow country. :( No lack of Twinkie loving babes though.

Correction Mr. Palman, New Vineyard. You know it's funny that u mentioned that I shot a manly 9. The last match I screwed up at 100 yards after winning the 200 yarder at Palmetto, I shot 2 nines, not manly but 9's never the less after shooting 3 50&5's and a 4 then a 48-1X. Brain fart once more not paying attention to the 2 probes when I saw that they were pegged to the left, but I shot anyway! I'll never learn. As Bob Brooks always says, I SUCK!

We landed here @ 4:00PM today. Nice trip, no slow traffic to speak of, even through DC and we had two great dinners, who could ask for more? One of the dinners was in the Center Street Grill in Enola, Pa. The food was excellent, bordering on gourmet. I had a Duck Saffron that was cooked to perfection and the seasoning was perfect. Ms. J's dinner was equally well received by her. Last night we ate in the Holiday Inn @ Fayetteville. We had Fillets that were also cooked to our liking and priced right. We like hotels, that have restaurants, best. Just move in and get up and go in the morning. There seem to be more hotels with restaurants now. A good trend I think.

Another great thing is the relaxed speed limits. No more speed traps, that I saw. The only folks who seemed to get stopped were those going Warp 8. 76 or 77 seems to be permissible as that seems to be the speed the traffic flows at

Thanks everyone

for the well wishes. The lowest price gas was in Fayetteville, South Carolina; 169.9, much easier than $4.50 I must say. Gas seems to be around 197.9 here

gas down to 1.989 in Me. Heating oil 1.679. Haven't started the pellet stove yet. Pellet prices rose again this year and its about $1 more per bag to heat vs. the equivalent amount of oil. Off to LCRC Sunday for the Christmas shoot. Have fun in the sun.
