Favorite Wind direction......

Using only N-E-S-W with North winds being in your face and South winds at your back. West winds left to right and East winds Right to Left regardless of actual compass orientation of the range. Given your choice what wind do you like to shoot in! Please base this on your ability to judge the hold off or anything else that helps you shoot better in that wind vs the other wind directions! I'm not interested in "certain winds allow you to see your flags better" etc. If you favor a certain wind because of being a lefty make that notation. I'm really itching to jump in but I've a little more work to do first. I'm hoping to glean a tip from the seasoned veterans and maybe save some ammo learning!

I am not wild about any of those. If I had to choose, I would pick either a West wind or an East Wind.. I prefer quartering winds such as SW, SE, NW, or NE.

I prefer a S/SE wind.
If that is not available, I have one gun that shoots good with an East Wind and one that shoots better with a West wind. I do not understand why it works that way, but that has been my experience.

A SE wind will get me to let loose a round every time. In general, I prefer the Easterly winds.

not realistic but....

Any diction as long as it's constant while I am at the bench.

The wind the particular rifle likes best. Some rifles go crazy in certain winds, and some will shoot predictably in about all angles, those are the good ones(barrels).

I don't mind any of the four you listed, but our range will show the North wind more consistent. So I would pick the North wind.

Consistant from 10 o'clock. NW to SE. Only because that's what I get the most, and I am comfortable with it.

Depends on which range and which bench. I know that may not be much help, but tey are not created equal

South on our range - anything else and the berms and tree line give
nasty little eddies - always seem to be between the flags, at least
that's my story and I'm stickin to it;)

Don't know that I have a favorite, just whatever works right now. Shot a match today, the 9 o'clock wind was good in the am. Same wind this afternoon was not nearly as reliable. Subtle directional and velocity changes introduced a lot of elevation changes. Always skeptical of tail winds or south on your example. Seems to swirl over the polebarn or shooting shed.
