Don't blame Obama.....

Venting one's spleen is good. However, the outcome will be the same four years from now unless there's a change in the demographic of Republican voters. Here are some clues:

Republican Party Brand Is in Tatters as the Changing Demographics Help President Obama Deliver a Romney Shellacking

Nov 7, 2012 by JANET SHAN

The finger-pointing in the Republican Party has started and it’s about to hit a fever pitch with President Obama’s shellacking of Mitt Romney at the polls. Let me reiterate, President Obama won 303 Electoral College votes to Mitt Romney’s 206. The president also edged out Romney in the popular vote — 50% to 48%. The message the Republican Party should take from this is that it’s time to kick the lunatics out of the party and stop allowing people like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter (who, by the way, accurately predicted Mitt Romney would lose), Donald Trump, John Sununu, Joe Arpaio, Bryan Fischer and other right wing extremists, to set the tone for their discourse. Mitt Romney allowed himself to be mired in the Republican race-baiting and extremism. In a word, positive is the new black. [/url]

I don't think the ideals and morals of the Republican party need changing. Nor do the people in it need to be labeled something else. The Dems have their extremists too so it balances out. What the Republican party needs to do is change their campaign tactics. You can't go up against a "chicago politician" with kid gloves. Romney played rough in the first debate and handily won. Even Dems admitted to it. But then he layed off for the next two to court the female vote (they don't like confrontational debates apparently) and it cost him dearly. I told my TV after the third debate that Mitt just lost the election. I was hoping common sense of the people would still elect the right person, but I was dead wrong there! Mitt should have nailed the Pres right between the eyes with the Libya murders, the PRes' promise he would not run for re-election if things were not improved in 4 years, his golf outings vs. cabinet meeting hours, and a host of other things. He then should have explained the difference between CHPTR 11 and CHPTR 10 filings and how the restructuring of the car industry should have been handled. Finally, he should have shared more personal details with America. Let them see he's not a grandma killing, money-lusting demon with horns coming out his ears. But rather, a decent man who's given more volunteer hours (without pay) to helping others than any other 10 millionaires combined.

I come from Colorado that use to be a Republican State, but we now import our voting majority from anywhere far east or west and now south of the border. M

Nevada, Montana, Utah, Wyoming, and parts of Oregon are suffering the same phenomenon. THere are more California libs in these states now than the locals. But, I'm proud to say that Utah hasn't let them change how we do things quite as badly as some of the other states. In the election last night, Utah gave Romney the highest % voters in the country....nearly 75%! Obama is not exactly a very popular guy here!

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breath free.
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me.
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!

You wanted them, you got them, you exploited them, you abused them, you educated them and more. They now out vote you, they now have the power, they now have another 4 years. They ain't ever gonna give you back the keys to the White House front door.

White, middle class, middle aged America, has had its day. The revolution has started.

Do the math. Even if it had been 100%, the state only receives 6 Electoral votes out of the 538 available. 6 divided by 538. That's 1.1% of the total.

History repeats itself, just look at the presidential elections since 1960, except for unforeseen circumstances the incumbent always gets a 2nd term. No models/ computers needed. I do not agree with anything Obama has done. I do not like him, I have no tolerance for him. Nothing in past 4 years has changed my mind rather it has reinforced my original assessment. I had hoped that this wasn't to be the case.

I know, my home state doesn't matter in the EC. That wasn't my point. My point was that we had the highest support of Romney of any state in the Union and the lowest favor of Obama anywhere--including Texas.

So, how many states allow only something as simple as a utility bill or library card to vote? In other words, how many folks who are not US citizens got to cast a vote for Obama? And why is this sort of thing going on in the first place?

The indisputable fact is that the media did everything they could to influence the election. BHO is their guy, and there is no living soul on earth that could unseat him....no matter how high their integrity or what their platform was.

and i can blame yomama...
if he had been a man with backbone, he would see the disaster he and his spending programs have caused.
he would say, i have erred, and walked away..
but power corrupts...he has no back bone....none

You can't win if the mainstream news media is allied against you. Obama was shielded while Romney was targetted.

Its not the first time these 2 political mammoths have been thru this process. They both know how to win over the mass media. They also know they ignore them at their peril.

The Republican party has lost the popular vote [the people's support] 5 out of the last 6 presidential elections. Why? Because they've been courting a dinosaur ... old white conservative males. That isn't going to hack it anymore, and it hasn't for quite sometime, 24 years to be exact. If they don't bring representatives from the rest of society into their club, they're doomed for the foreseeable future. Today it's all about demographics. All the moaning and the groaning and numerous excuses isn't going to change a thing, until the Republican party's officials wake up and get with the program.

Again, I have to disagree with this. You make it sound like the popular vote was 99 to 1. In fact, it has been much closer to 50/50 everytime. That means there's still half the country that thinks the Republican party still does have something good going for them. It ain't just for old, wealthy white folks. In fact, the Dem party was started by an old, wealthy, white man named Andrew Jackson. Ask any Native American you want if they like him..................

Bottom line is most people are sheep. They only know what the media tells them. They don't know what either party stands for and they don't care. All they vote on is the person running and most of what they know there is determined by what the media says about them.

And I wonder if Obama would have won either time if this country would require you to be a citizen before it lets you cast a vote for Pres.?

Most people don't even vote, most people barely pay attention to what's going on either nationally or internationally. Those who don't pay attention drag themselves out to vote often enough when they're told that those other guys are going to take away your birth control (or not pay for it with someone else's money), or blah, blah, blah. Don't check into anything yourself listen to some moron on tv, because hey they wouldn't lie to me would they? How many people even heard or knew anything about Fast and Furious or the debacle in Benghazi? Not most I'll bet.

I'm not sure what the solution is, but since LBJ opened up legal immigration in the 60's, and not a single president has had the gonads to close the borders to illegal immigration since then we're being outnumbered ladies and gentlemen. The UN and the left in this country have it all figured out, and they just keep on plugging away while we've been busy trying to earn a living and raise families and believing that everything was going along fine.

In Montana the only counties that are reliably liberal are those with the four large Indian Reservations, Crow, Northern Cheyenne, Blackfeet, and Rocky Boys (Chippewa-Cree). It's mostly too cold for half the year here for the Californicators thankfully.

But consider this, the government cannot keep printing money and borrowing from itself without things falling apart. Earlier this year I read The End of Money about the hyperinflation in the Weimar Republic. Our geniuses aren't a bit smarter than the ones in Germany 90 years ago, although they believe they are. When you believe that you're smarter than everyone else about everything you're usually not.

You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time. Let's hope that still holds true.

That's always been the way with politics. First it was the hustings and pamphlets, then it was newspapers and the radio. Now its the mass media. Governments and presidents don't get elected on policy. The get elected on winning the communication battle and personalities.

You are a nation founded by , built by, sustained and maintained by immigration. That your poor and huddled masses have now reached sufficient numbers to force socialism onto the political centre stage is hardly surprising. They ain't ever going to let it slip ever again. Welcome to the barrio Larry, its going to be your home from now on.

A fellow at work, pretty sure quoting somebody else, said:

"In a country of children, Santa Claus would be president."

How then do you explain the GOP still looses with black and latino candidates. I voted for Lynn Swann for Governor in '06, he lost big time. Alan West, a war hero just lost re-election in Fla......war heroes are discriminated against by the Dem.party.
