I bought a CZ 527 action on line and am going to add an after market barrel to it. Having problems finding out how to cut the threads & action seat. I can't find anyone who can tell me the thread pattern for sure (some say that 20 TPI will work).

I'd like to find out what the OD is and thread pattern and is the barrel flat where it meets the action?

Thanks in advance for any help!

If the gunsmith who is going to install the barrel can't tell you what the thread pitch is then you don't want him doing it. One of the first things a gunsmith needs when he starts building rifles is a thread pitch gage in imperial and in metric. My guess is the CZ has metric threads. If I've barreled one and one may be the extent of how many of them I've barreled, I don't remember the specifics of it.

This is what DocEd says: I use .980x20 tpi. It is metric but several use 20tpi if you are not threading metric on your lathe. I don't know the tenon length and anything else about it.
