James, I am pretty sure it is 5-6,April/08. It will be in Tomball, Texas. Many, myself included, miss having it in Lafayette. Don't get me wrong. I appreciate Tomball's hosting the match but with the Tomball's prohibition against alcohol and the lack of regional Cajun restaurants it isn't the same. Thank goodness you Cajuns show up en mass to lend a big dose of local color to the proceedings. Do you know anything about the possibility of again hosting it near Lafayette? I keep hearing conflicting information. Tim

Tim, the Lafayette group have a new range, but they do not have a loading area or restroom yet. I have been told that they are shooting for the spring of '09 to host the Crawfish. I don't know if this will happen or not. Maybe if we can talk to Francis Broussard and a few others, the match may occur. They have a nice place about 10-15 miles NE of Lafayette. They bought 640 acres and have 30 benches and a roof completed. They still need restrooms, a loading building, and moving backer system. Thanks for the information about Tomball. The schedule is not carved in stone as of yet. I needed dates so I could set up our Club Match Schedule at Tomball.
Scott does not have all of the signed contracts back from the different Clubs as of yet. Since the dates are not final untill the contracts are in, he can't tell the Region for sure when every match will be.
He does have the contracts back from Tomball, so I do know those two........jackie

Where are you located? Do you live in the Houston area? The club is private and they are not accepting new members at this time. There is a long waiting list. Ranges are 100 and 200 yards only. There is a 25 and 50 yard pistol range. You would have be invited as a guest to shoot at the range.
If you are interested in Benchrest (point blank), let me know and I will invite you to shoot sometime. PM or e-mail me. Contact Jackie if you are interested in shooting in a local score match.

They've always used bathrooms. They used the ones at the old range to sight in with because there were bullet holes in the doors.

I live in Houston not far from Tomball, so I was looking for a place to shoot. Don't like Hot Wells at all, not my kind of setup. I'm not sure, if I have the adequate equipment for benchrest matches, nor have I ever shot a match, but I really appreciate you informing me!

Jackie, there were holes everywhere at Hub City range. All over the firing line shed.
