It's not so much a matter of bells and whistles that seperates the good chrony's from the bad ones. If that were the case, the Oehler 35 would not be so famed because it really doesn't have many frills. What makes it (or any top notch chronos) good is it's ability to work all the time, every time. Pretty much the only thing I've had my Oehler not like was fog. The others, maybe they will work and maybe they won't. I can go to the range anytime and bet a Benjamin that if I've got a good battery, I've got a chronograph. Can't say that about most of the others.
Are the Oehlers worth 575 bones? Only you can decide. But I doubt you'll lose any money if you decide to sell it down the road.
