Chronograph

My CED M2 has given me good results. I like the ability to download the information to my computer, particularly when using the available RSI software. It has no problem recording even my little .204 screamers while they pass through at well over 4000 fps.

It's not so much a matter of bells and whistles that seperates the good chrony's from the bad ones. If that were the case, the Oehler 35 would not be so famed because it really doesn't have many frills. What makes it (or any top notch chronos) good is it's ability to work all the time, every time. Pretty much the only thing I've had my Oehler not like was fog. The others, maybe they will work and maybe they won't. I can go to the range anytime and bet a Benjamin that if I've got a good battery, I've got a chronograph. Can't say that about most of the others.

Are the Oehlers worth 575 bones? Only you can decide. But I doubt you'll lose any money if you decide to sell it down the road.

Also, if I saw the ad correctly, the 35P will now come in a revamped rifle case for carrying. Having that worked out for you is worth a little extra cost.

Buy two Chronys, set them up in line and compare the two readings - its interesting.
