Another great turnout today for our Marathon, 12 for the 3 gun and 12 for the Unlimited. The range has only 10 benches so 2 relays for each match. I must admit, even with all the help, 6 matches with two relays in one day is a lot! Thanks for all the help folks, without the help, I just flat would not be able to pull it off :( .

Sporter:

1. Paul Bendix 248-15
2. Klayton Hayes 247-11
3. Dave Piccuito 247-6

10.5

1. Gary Hamilton 248-19
2. Paul Bendix 248-17
3. Dave Piccuito 248-11

13.5

2. Pete Wass 248-15
3. Keith Royal 247-16

1. Paul Bendix 745-47
2. Gary Hamilton 740-44
3. Dave Piccuito 738-39

1. Mike Luce 249-18
2. Paul Bendix 249-15

Hi Pete,

What a great turnout you had, it makes for one long day, good you had some good helpers. Congrats. to all the winners. A special congratulations to Paul Bendix for his very first Sporter win! Who put together your Sporter? Must have been some big name "smith? :D

Pete,

It must have been a long day up there in Maine, but at least there were some great scores. Glad to see our guy Paul shot so well. Keep it up as there are a couple of Mass State shoots coming up in the not so distant future that you're sure to be ready for, that is unless you run out of ammo.

You guys have fun on Tuesday, and hopefully without 2 relays being required.

Al, The SAKO you put together many years ago is still going strong. The Lilja barrel is just broken in.
It has outlasted the Kathy built spotters and might even outlast your new Eck built ones that replaced Kathy built ones!.

Thanks for selling me your one and only sporter build.

Yes Al,

I am very pleased with the attendance in our matches. The introduction of the 3 gun matches seems to have ignited a lot of pent up interest in Rimfire Benchrest Competition up here, one of the poorest states in the Union :). We seem to continue to replace those who have either moved away or dropped out plus more. It's good to see.

Paul was on fire Sunday. Got to figure a way to stop him. Pretty simple, really. We just have to shoot better is all :).Congratulations Paul, you got er done, that's for sure.

That's what I call real shooting Paul .Looking forward to shooting with ya at Angle Tree next month

Thanks Ray,
Will see you and bob at Angletree at the next match. Will bring munchkins from DD.
Bob is doing a Great job running the Matches!

See you soon.

Paul

Two Relays

It sounds like you are still having trouble with two relay matches in New England. Bob Griffin runs two relay matches at Walkill that are the best around . Come try one they are painless.

Pete,
Thanks for keeping our sport alive and moving up in Maine. Two relays is a lot of work, but makes for a fulfilling day!

Paul -- congrats -- great shooting!

Best,
Michael

Michael,
Thanks, Was only trying to get some more 250 pins for you to give out. Doesn't look good for tonight's match. Heavy rains with high winds.
