Bullet weight

[BAT-22]

I have a Savage model 12 in 6 MM BR cal and 1-12 barrel twist. AM wondering how heavy a bullet I can shoot with that barrel.Have head that anything over 80 gr
would cause it to tumble. Help anyone NEW GUY

12 is pretty slow. You could check it out with a certain bullet on JMB ballistics www. JBM ballistic.com

You must have the Savage Model 12 Varmint Series 6mmBR which I think does have a 1 to 12 twist barrel. I think the Model 12 Target series 6mmBR are all 1 to 8 twist.
