Brennan's Books, Holey Coww!!

Question:

If they are that valuable, How come someone or ones haven't knocked them off? I've never seen one but if it's that good, I can't imagine someone; perhaps one of the "Basement Dwellers", knocking it off :) .

Pete

For no apparent reason, just listing, have read them, and still shoot like crap! 3 copies of Warren Page's book, The Accurate Rifle. 3 copies of Glen Newick's book, The Ultimate in Rifle Accuracy. 1 copy of Mike Ratigan's book, Extreme Rifle Accuracy. 1 of Tony Boyer's book and 1 of Jim Carmichel's book, 1 copy of Townsend Whelen's books, Small Arms Design and Ballistics. 1 copy of Fred and Bill's book, Precision Reloading, I copy of The Handloader's Manual of Cartridge Conversions by John Donnelly, and 1 copy of the NRA Handloading and I repeat, still shoot like crap.

I've got a few near and dear signed books:

-'Marine Sniper', signed by Carlos Hathcock. His M.S. was so bad when he signed that it hurts just to read his signature.

-'American Hunting Rifles' by Craig Boddington. It was a chance meeting. He was modest, unassuming and wanted to know more about Benchrest rifles and shooting.

-'Grumpy's Toys' by Doug Boyce and signed by 'The Grump' himself. The authorized history of Bill 'Grumpy' Jenkins' Cars. There was only one 'Grump'..stuff that he pioneered is still being used today.

-'The Benchrest Shooting Primer'. This is a compilation of articles that had all been published in Precision Shooting Magazine. A 'who's who' of BR greats. Dave Brennan signed this one.

M.L. McPherson asked if I wanted him to sign his 'Metallic Cartridge Reloading'* book. I passed on that one....;)

* It is a darn good reference for many cartridges and powders, I'll give him that.

i guess i invested !
i have the small binder version
of
"Precision Shooting , Reloading Guide"

Hey Al! if that is the one with the front cover of a black and white and red rifle? guess who that is a picture of? EH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So true.

I got the last ones he signed.

My order got screwed up and instead of Carlos' books I got some Plaster's.....I ended up talking with Norm and Rocky Chandler about the mixup and they said "we'll go see if we can wake him up!"

AFAIK he passed before I got my books.

Al,

I was always a fan of Bill Jenkins. Not only was he smarter than most racers he was one of the best drivers. The only guy better with a 4 speed was Ken Dondero and he would sometimes drive for Bill.
