The Michelle Sutton Memorial IV Charity Classic was held at South Creek R&G club over the Father's Day weekend. Everyone had a great time and thousands of dollars were raised for the American Cancer Society. The weather was perfect, mid 70's,light breezy conditions.
It was good to see South Creek cornerstone and Hall of Fame shooter Jack Deming off the target crew tractor and back on the firing line where he belongs. The target crew managed to do an excellent job in his absence. Hmmm ? Larry Herzog did his usual best as Range Officer, while Edna White and Kim Amatrudo were flawless in the score shack/ stat house. Judy Deming, PJ Hart and crew did a fine job in the kitchen. It takes a lot of heart to run this shoot. Many thanks to all those involved.
Saturday morning LV 100 saw Dennis Tinkham and Mike Gamble tie for top gun with Dennis breaking the tie with small group.
Saturday afternoon HV 100 had "some guy from canal town" squeak out Barney Small for the win.
Sunday AM, HV 200, Bob White slid past Tim Reed for the trophy. Barney Small prevailed for the HV Grand.
Sunday PM, LV 200, Andy Laidlaw came out on top of hard charging Mike Mastrogiovanni for the win. Bob Hamister nailed down the LV Grand.
Bob Hamister won his first, well deserved Two Gun with Barney Small right behind. Bob Brushingham quit joking around long enough to "pull out all the stops" and take third place.
