I just started down the heavier bullet path this spring, and so far it's been great. I've run a 31" 1-12" broughton 5C, and a 30" 1-12" Krieger, both w/ PTG Rule 150 .341 neck. N150, CCI BR2 and lapua brass have 185 BT's cooking along at about 2750 fps, based on 900m drops. Elevation is nice and tight. I'm also going to experimnet w/ a 1-11" barrel throated for 185's and 210's, just to see, but th e210 will have to really shine to beat out the 185. One of the nice things about the 185 is t fits nicely into the 150 throat, and the 155.5 BT shoots great for the shorts, in spite of the long jump to the lands. We'll have to see how it does w/ and even longer jump ... If it doesn't do as well, I might end up w/ the golf bag approach- a shorter throated .308, or even a. 223 for 300-600m, and a .308 set uip specfiically for the heavies fot 800-900m.
