Got my gun yesterday and extractor will not go over case head into rim to close bolt. Are there 2 extractors, one for PPC maybe. I ordered this as a 308 BF.

Mike, check to make sure the cone has clearance from bolt nose to barrel cone. Take the firing pin assembly out and see if you can move the closed stripped bolt forward and back slightly. On some Bat's this is pretty hard to tell as there is not much movement as the bolt handle fit can be pretty tight in the bolt handle cut out in the receiver.
 
Friend of mine has a three lug that has such a close fit on the rim under the extractor hook that if the shoulder of a case is a little far back...even a little bit, the extractor will not pick up the case. With the right case dimension, it works fine. My friend's is a right bolt, left port, right eject three lug.
 
If what Mike said is the case, you can take a strip of tablet pape about 1/2 inch wide and 3/4 inch longr and slip it up in there, and see if the bolt closes. Typical tablet paper will measure about .003. ........jackie
 
Not hitting cone, bolt handle is 60 to 80 1000's away from primary extraction ramp. Mark on brass from extractor in from rim about .030". Bruce is sending new extractor with a more raduis cut on front to jump over brass rim.
