Barrel resembles a bananna

Bolted it all in the stock no bedding and got 2 10 round groups a .740 and a .890 using factory Hornady. The reamer has a throat that is short enough that the variation in 4 of the rounds of factory ammo caused the bolt to be sslightly stiffer when closing. 2 of those happened to be in each group. Those tighter rounds would open the group horizontaly. If those are discounted the groups are .613, and .667. Either way not bad for a non bedded rifle and factory ammo.

Also took out a 22-250 I had set up in the lathe the same way, with a barrel from a different maker. It put up a group of .282 for 5 right out of the gate with 52gr bergers and 33gr of benchmark.

Not comparing the 2 rifles directly, but the chambering method seems to be working well enough that I will continue with it at least for a while. The rifle is in bedding compound now so we'll see what the improvement is.
