As one can see above we had a good turnout. The weather was great with slight vectoring tail winds. Jackie was at it again setting a fine score of 250/22X which ties Dennis Boyce's last years record set with a 6BR. The ARC "High Score" for 2015 cups were presented to Dennis Boyce, 250/22X (VFS), and Curt Gallaher, 250/11X (Hunter).

As an extra treat, Jackie's wife presented all the shooters with a terrific piece of cake, just to cap off a fine day of shooting.

See ya all back next month,

Ed, They can't spell your name? Robert, great shooting for such a young man against a very tough field.

It's Ed Bernabeo and Geramo Villareal. But hey, Butch, Ed and Geramo have been two of my best friends for 20 years, and I still miss spell it.

We had a beautiful day to shoot. Tough conditions, but you can't help enjoy 78 degrees and not a cloud in the sky.

That is a good group of guys over in Austin.

Shame on you, you know this guys for over 20 years, and you still can't spell Villareal first name, it is Guillermo.
Great shooting guys,
Next time you come shoot in Austin, please let me know a couple of days ahead, I will love to shoot with you guys again, I am only 45 minutes away.

Spelling corrected. Knew you guys would catch that. Can't read my own writing on the match sheet.

Sounds like you had a great time.

Butch,

I can tell you my brother Robert had a great time and learned a lot. He had nothing but good things to say about Jackie being a great shot and he how he help my brother with his ammo situation. I have not shot bench rest since the mid 80s, but looks like shooters helping other shooters is still the norm within this community..

Did Robert tell you what we discussed about his loaded round's case neck to chamber clearance?

Yes he did and was thankful for your help. He is redoing his brass based on your input as we speak.

Good. He needs to shoot for at least .002 clearance at the largest point of the neck in a loaded round. That will be where the base of the bullet is in the neck.

With a 30BR, it is best to have a tad too much clearance than not enough.

That is good to know. The precision problem he has been fighting this past 12 months might have been due to clearance issues.
