Have a older Anschutz trigger that the smith said can't be adjusted any lower it is now about 6 oz . Does any one know of someone who works on these tiggers would like to have it down to 2 or 1 1/2 os . It breaks nice and clean just a little bit heavy . Thanks for any info .

Ga Crab,
If I call up an auto repair shop and ask if they can fix the trigger in my Dodge do you think they can give an answer? -
Now after I give them Make, Model, Year and type Trigger I have then I might get an answer. - :D
Just a Hint - ;)

Do you have a 54 or 64 action? If it's a 54 does it have a wing safety or not?

What the guys are saying is Anschutz made many different triggers. They need to know exactly one you have. Then they can offer you more help.

The trigger is on a 54 action with a wing safety .Is there any other way to find out just what trigger it is ?

We could discuss what model it is all day, but most likely it's one of two and one can be adjusted a little lighter. I think they called it a Zeigel or something along those lines. Anyway, I had the 54 with a wing safety and the lighter trigger that had been worked on. It wasn't bad, but 3.5 ounces was as low as it would go, but it was smooth and crisp. By the time I bought the rifle, the previous owner had paid about $100 for the trigger and another $100 to have it worked on. At that time the 5071, which is the 5018 type replacement for the wing safety was available for $275. If it was just me, I would have went with the 5071, and would do the same now with an older 54, but that's just me. Assuming you have the lighter trigger, probably about 3 ounces is the best you will do, but I do remember a post long ago where somebody described how to make the older Anschutz triggers 2 ounces. You might search the archives.
