Great conditions in Albuquerque this weekend, light winds in the morning, picking up just a little bit more in the afternoon.

Congratulations to Tom Libby who was the big winner this weekend, just edging out Ed Maxwell by 0.003 in the 100yd 4-gun. We will finish the 200yd 4-gun in October.

I want to thank Todd Tyler, Ed Adams and Jack Snyder for the great way they put on the benchrest match this past weekend. It was a very easy going competition atmosphere and the range is a great range that is very shooter friendly from the loading building that is insulated and away from the benches to give your ears a break, the lighting that helps the shooters find their loading stuff. They have some of the best reinforced concrete benches in our sport. At the range there is RV space behind the loading building with power. The range is located in an area that has ample hotels and good prices with your choice of several eating places in price range.

It is a range that should draw more shooters than they have been getting the past few years and I am not sure why, we need to support these ranges as most of them need at least 20 shooters to just break even for the club. Please support your ranges. Thanks

Ps: I was using Carolyn’s rifle this weekends shoot, damn she can tune a load, and I hope no one noticed me on my cell phone talking to Carolyn and asking what to do next.
 
We already know Carolyn is the brains of the family, but damn Bubba thats some mighty fine shootin. Congratulations > Todd throws a great shoot. Beautiful range!
