any one have a good load for a 338 lapua, 30 inch bartlien 1x10, bat action. i would like to shoot 300smk. thanks for the help!! also what powder performs best in this caliber.

I only loaded for the 250 gr bullets but VV N165 worked for me.

I have worked on two.....a factory Armalite AR 30, and a custom built on a weatherby MK V. One loved RL 25....The other loved H1000. All I used were 250 SMK's.....I didn't realize the AR had a 1-10 twist. My guess is that the 300SMK would have worked great in it!!!
The guys over at Longrangehunting.com are into this caliber in a big way!! Try them over there. it sounds like there are some LR compeditors over there.

RL22, RL25, Retumbo, IMR4350 work with the 300gr'ers.
Opps I haven't chrono'd my 300gr loads yet.
