300 magnum chamber

I have a 300 Winchester magnum rifle of Remington make.my ? is how much is the chamber bigger then I cartridge diagram in one of the loading manuels.
I am thinking of neck turning the cases and using a redding bushing die to size the case and neck.
any thoughts on this ?

You use neck bushings to fit the neck tension to the bullet. If the chamber is a std size, turning the necks will just add excessive clearance to the neck. Turning the necks may very well uniform the brass but will also cause the necks to be that much more undersized in the chamber. Excessive clearance leads to overworking the brass, among other things.
