30 cal .925 long J4 Jackets

It is with great pleasure and relief to announce that our machine is currently running the 30 cal .925 long J4 jackets. They look very good. We will be running them until all back orders are filled and we put a bunch on the shelf so we don't have to go through this lack of supply again.

We will start shipping jackets on Monday. The orders will be shipped based on when they were placed. The good news is, now that we are up and running it will take us only a week or so to make the amount we need to fill all the back orders.

If you want to confirm how many jackets you have on order call 714-447-5456. Teresa will have this information. If you want more you can increase your order but the additional jackets won't ship until previous orders for others have been shipped.

Once the .925 long jackets are completed we will be switching to the 1.000 long. This will be followed by the 1.080 and 1.150. Thank you for your patience.

Regards,
Eric

I am pleased to announce that the 30 cal .925 long have been completed and we are running the 30 cal 1.000 long. The same situation applies. We will ship the oldest orders first and will continue shipping until all back orders are completed. You are welcome to add to your order however additions wil be shipped after all existing back orders are shipped first.

Now that we are running these jackets it will take us only a few weeks to complete all the orders. As discussed previously, we will continue to make these jackets until our supply is built up so that we do not experience lack of supply again.

Regards,
Eric

For those who are interested in the short 30 cal jackets will soon be switching to the 1.080. These are not as heavily used as the .925 and 1.000 so it won't be long before we switch back to the .925. I thought we made more than enough .925 to keep these jackets in stock but we are already out of these jackets. No reason to worry as this machine is running very well. We will have the stocks resupplied in the next 2-3 weeks. This is right on the heels of our making several hundred thousand jackets so the bullet makers will have plenty to work with until we get back to the .925 again.

Regards,
Eric

We are making the 7mm standard jackets which are used to make bullets in our Hunting line. We are making the jackets that are used to make the 180 gr VLD Hunting now. It will be about 2-3 more weeks for us to finish these jackets. Then we will switch to the Thick jacket used to make the 180 gr class Target bullets. It is difficult to estimate accurate timelines but at this time I'd say we are looking at the middle of September before the 7mm 180 gr class Target bullets start coming off the machine.

Eric

Eric,
Any idea when the 6mm 115 VLD Target bullets may start to show up in stores? Thanks for your time.

Good News on 6mm Target Bullets

After a considerable amount of effort and hair pulling we've managed to get the 6mm press up and rolling again. In fact, we have finished running the jackets for the 105 gr class bullets. For those of you still waiting for 105 gr BT, 108 gr BT or 105 gr VLD Target bullets in every pack size and moly (for those using moly) we are in the process of making all the bullets on back order and then some.

The jackets run much faster than the bullets so just because we are done making the jackets does not mean we've stopped making the bullets. The fact that we are finished making these jackets for now is a good thing.

Regarding the other heavy 6mm bullets we are setting up to make the 1.050 long Thick jackets now. These jackets make the 90 gr BT and 95 gr VLD Target. We have quite a few less to make in this group (than the 105 gr class). If all goes well we should be finished by the end of next week.

When the 1.050 long Thick jackets are finished we are switching to the 1.290 long Thick which is the jacket that makes the 115 gr VLD Target. This is a long answer to your question, John, but the best answer I can give you is that these bullets will be available by the end of the month.

Just a reminder that holding to our .0003 tolerance can provide some unforeseen challenges. If the 115 gr VLD Target bullets are not ready by the end of the month this will be the reason why.

Regards,
Eric
