Does anyone make a 9 twist 25 Cal barrel?

I am in the process of building a 25 Souper on a Sako action. Because we are forced to shoot all copper bullets hear in the Peoples Republic of California, I am thinkng about spinning the bullets a little faster.

Hoping to shoot the 85 grain Barnes 80 grain TTSX Bullet.

Thanks

I don`t know about 1/9" but I believe Lilja makes a 1/7" 257 cal barrel. I always wondered why everyone makes 1/9" or faster in 264" bores but stops at 1/10" for 257. It seems a 1/9 or 1/8.5" would be a better choice IMO.

Probably due to the fact that a 10 twist at 24" will stabilize the heaviest common bullets in 257 which is a 120gr.

Bartlein will make any twist or grove cobination you want.
They will also make any special grove land or grove diameter you want. they are very easy to work with.
But I don't think a 1/10 will have any trouble shooting an 80 grain barnes TTSX.
I have shot that bullet from a 1/12 twist.

I shoot both the Bibs and Berger 87 gr flat base tips in my 25 BR with 1-14 twist.

I have shot most of the 115 gr and 120 gr tips in my 25 Jon Deer with 1-10 twist. Jon Deer is near identical to the 25 Souper.

I have been shooting the 25 Cal since 1962. Never found a bullet that needed more than a 1-10 twist. My new barrel is a 1-12 Bartlein. With a 25 BR chamber I expect it to shoot the 80 gr Barnes OK.

I shoot the 100 Gr Barnes (100TSXBT) in my light rifle, 25 BR with 18" 1-12 barrel. Velocity is 2,800 to 3,000 fps depending on load. Bullet stability is good even at the lower velocity.

I've shot 120 gr flat base bullets in my .250-3000 with a 1 in 10 twist with good accuracy (for a hunting rifle and me shooting it, at sub inch for five shots). They were steaming right along too, but the velocity out of a Souper should be higher than out of a .250.
