Gene,

Do you use your 223 Rem for benchrest competition? If so how have you been doing with it and what kind of groups are you getting?

Thanks,
Lefty
Lefty,
My benchrest is informal competition with a bunch of local guys. I am getting groups at 100 yards with the 60 grain bullet that can be covered with a dime--about .25" center-to-center. Recently I acquired some Lapua brass. But before that it was Remington.

Lefty,
I shoot informal matches with local guys--we shoot at ranges from 100 to 500 yards. Here where I live the wind and mirage are always issues, so group sizes depend on how well I do reading the conditions that particular day. Usually at 100 yards, I am shooting .2's and .3's. Because we shoot at longer ranges is why I would like to shoot the heaviest bullet my barrel will stablize, and then get as much velocity as possible and still hold accuracy.

Thank you for asking.
