I really like my little .22BR. It has a 24" Hart Bbl, 1X12" twist, Jewell trigger, and is built on a trued Rem. 700 action. I've shot/tried a number of bullets but find Ralph Council's 62 Gr. ones with VV 240 and Rem 7-1/2 primers to give the best accuracy. No, it's not a BR rifle, nor is it well suited for distances "way out there". Anyway, I've been using it as my hunting rifle for the last two seasons. I know that some of you might think it inappropriate for hunting but I haven't had to shoot a whitetail the second time -- that 62 Gr bullet placed at the base of the ear has done the job every time -- they just drop, no tracking and no meat damage -- 8-9 bucks/does, total.
