Accurate 22-250

There may not be anybody who DOES NOT make a good 22-250! But, by "good" I assume you mean good overall--taking price, accuracy, reliability, feel, and etc, into account. Three years ago I bought a Remington VSSF II in 22-250. I installed a Nightforce benchrest scope, a Jewell trigger, and a bipod.
I tried several bullets, powders, cases, primers, and different reloading methods (sizing, neck turning, sorting, etc.) until I felt like it reached its maximum potential. Last Sunday I shot just over a 4 inch group at 615 yards in a gusty 4-7 mph crosswind. At 100 yards every bullet hole is touching another. After 3 years I can say it is as good as the day I bought it. It is reliable, I consider it accurate, and it fits me perfect. I would love a Savage, a Wetherby, or a rifle from any other manufacturer, I just chose this particular one. I believe a person can make any rifle good for some particular purpose. So, this is my answer, but if you are seriously looking for a "good" 22-250, I think you could close your eyes and point to any one on the shelf and be just fine!

I have seen a lot of factory 700 heavy barrels shoot very well over the years... Remington is still my preference for a factory rifle.
