2021 Cactus Classic Registration

Hello All,
As of right now we are still planning to hold the 2021 Cactus Classic on March 13 & 14.

With the Ben Avery Shooting Facility being owned by the Arizona Game and Fish Department, we are required to follow all CDC, State, and Local measures regarding COVID-19. With the match less than 3 months away, we are unsure what measures will still be in place. Current measures for Ben Avery include wearing masks when social distancing of 6 feet cannot be obtained and when indoors.

Additionally for the 2021 Cactus there will be no banquet dinner and the awards ceremony will be held outdoors at the range.

Some additional measure that may be implemented might include utilizing every other shooting bench and every other reloading bench. This of course may limit the number of shooters that will be permitted to participate in the match. Therefore we are asking shooters to preregister so they can secure a spot in the match and so we can ensure that any COVID measures that may be relevant are being followed when looking at group sizes and participation.

We understand the inconvenience of these COVID-19 measures, but ask that shooters work with us in understanding that in order to hold the match we must follow certain guidelines implemented by the Ben Avery Shooting Facility.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email us at AZBenchrest@gmail.com

I tried to attached the registration to this post, but could not for some reason. So please go to the following link for the registration. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AsQ7pYYCXq5xT7EKrc3GQr41049FIk5k/view?usp=sharing

Limited entries into Cactus due to COVID

We have worked with the Ben Avery Shooting Facility to develop a plan to follow all local & state guidelines for COVID and large events. Part of this plan is to use every other bench in order to meet the 6' social distancing requirement. Because of this we will have to limit the number of entries to the match at 90 shooters. Entries will be first come, first serve. So if you plan to attend the Cactus please send in your registration. Payment can be made at the match, if you wish to not pay in advanced.

Thanks

COVID Guidelines for the Cactus Classic

-Only one person will be permitted per each reloading bench. Persons sharing a reloading bench must be from the same household or must have carpooled to the range.
-Shooters must set up at least 6 feet apart from each other at the reloading benches.
-Masks must be worn when utilizing the restrooms.

Questions about the match

I've been to Ben Avery twice before but never for a benchrest match.

1) Are there enough covered loading tables to accommodate the expected turnout? If not, will there be tents setup for the overflow?

2) Is there any sort of lunch available on match days?

Thanks.

We will be erecting tents and providing tables and chairs for overflow reloading benches.

Due to COVID the range is not allowing us to have a food vendor on site. This means there will be no food available for purchase at the range.
