Jackie,

Any idea on the 2010 dates? I have to schedule my off days about 3 months in advance so I'm planning my schedule out now. I'm sure others will be interested in this info as well.

The 2010 Tomball Club Match Schedule is:

Feb 7
March 7

If you notice, they are all on a first Sunday of the Month.......jackie

Houston newbie with questions on Tomball ?

New to Houston and would appreciate some guidance on shooting BR in Tomball or any where else in area. What are the requirements to shoot in the matches at Tomball?

Thanks in advance...and Merry Christmas,

Paul

Tomball Matches are divided into two Categories.

First, we have the Registered NBRSA Group, Varmint for Score, and HBR Matches. To shoot these you have to be a member, or join, The NBRSA.

We will post the Registered Match Schedule later.

Second, we have the Club Matches, the five on the dates I listed. All you have to do for these is show up with $15 and be willing to have a good time.

The Club Matches consist of a 100 yard agg for score. We shoot on the Sunday Morning, one warm up match, (doesn't count), and five matches for record. There are three classes, Factory, Modified, and Benchrest............jackie

Thanks for the quick reply Jackie

:)I will have to find the place first. Then I'll show up at a club match hopefully in Jan/Feb to learn the system and participate.

Thanks again,
Paul

Tomball Factory class "Shooter of the Year" Award

For the Tomball Club Match series in 2010, I am again going to sponsor a "Shooter of the Year award" for the factory class. Scoring rules will be the same as for the overall Shooter of the Year. Since there will be 5 matches this year, the award will be given to the Factory Class Shooter who posts the best 4 out of 5 scores. This lets anyone drop their worst score or miss a match and still be "In the Hunt".

If you have a good shooting factory rifle, bring it on out and shoot for this award. You can't help but have a good time!

Jackie, just curious if a single person can shoot multiple relays if they have multiple rifles in different classes? This is of course assuming there are multiple relays to begin with, but I think there was always 2 with the first one of the year being 3...

I kinda got the bug and built up a new toy, but would still like to continue shooting my factory rifle to see if I can manage to shoot a clean 250 out of it.

Twin Rifles

We always have two relays, because you can shoot two in the same time period as one considering the 20-30 minutes between matches for shooters to re-load and clean.

Let me get back with you on this. No one has ever tried to shoot two separate classes, so I have never been faced with the decision. Give me a couple of days to think about it........jackie
