What are your general thoughts on a 13 twist 6ppc barrel? I am thinking about putting an order in for one. My Best buddy has a 13twist broughton 6ppc barrel and that barrel has always been a solid performer. Maybe some guys just dont talk about it, but it seems to me you just don't hear much about 13 twist 6ppc barrels. 13.5 or 14 usually gets the go. So what do you guys think? Thanks as always, lee

I don't think a 13 will hurt you. I have a gain twist that starts at 14 1/4 and exits at 13 1/4
It seems to shoot better. One of my pals is shooting a 12 with good results in 6mm Br, using bullets from 68 to 73 grs
I think the 13 may make a 68 to 70 gr bullet shoot tighter

I agree on the heavy'er longer multi ogive PPC Benchrest bullets out there... 8-9 ogive on .825 jackets = > 68gr...
Bart 68gr Wedge comes to mind.

Skeetlee,

For what it is worth, Berger recommends 1 in13 or faster for their match grade bullets, 65 grain to 70 grain. But what do they know, they just make some of the best jackets and bullets.

The second edition of Bryans book is much expanded over the first.
