Based on my experience, they require overnight air for handguns, but not for long guns. I've usually found the USPS to be a better choice for long guns and "firearm parts." Apparently you found yourself talking to an employee who didn't know what she was talking about.

I've had the same problem....a Mac person, I also have a HP laptop running Windows 7. It turned out that my main CED unit was from 2007, and was incompatible with CED's current PC software. I returned the old unit and they sold me a up to date one for about $80. Whether you can make it worth...

I've only been at this for about six years, but here are a couple of thoughts: Go to a benchrest (or BENCHREST;) )match and see what shooters you might compete against are using. Pay attention to rifles, scopes, front rest and rear bags, etc.etc..... I'm most familiar with medium to longer...

What He Said^^^ I think Jaychris is right on target about the importance of consistency, and powder measurement precision in particular. My only difference would be that I find that there's a lot to recommend using neck sizing dies...in particular Wilson's products. JMHO George

I've decided to go with the 6mmbr for our clubs 600yd competition. Would the F class Savage be a good choice for shooting from the bench? It's a little heavier than the Savage model 12 Bench Rest..... Or is there a reason why the F is not a good option for this purpose? Thanks, George

I'm an experienced rifle shooter, and currently handload for a diverse family of .17 and .20 caliber rifles. I'm interested in participating in our clubs fairly informal 600yd matches. I want to start with a "entry level" gun, probably a Savage model 12 of the benchrest or F class variety...
