Am I the only one that hasn't heard if Toolbox Flags?

Reed, no it's not molded, just kiln dried fir. I only make them when I make a set of tool box flags.

Am I the only one that hasn't heard if Toolbox Flags?

For those that want to make their own, the brand of toolbox I use is "Stack-on". They are inexpensive, usually around $20 or a little under and are available at hardware stores. It is not the easiest box to work with because nothing is square or level inside. So you have to adapt your mounting...

    Wind flag disasters

Mike, sorry about that, but I think you may have misunderstood what I wrote. (that never happens on the internet does it? :D) I was speaking in generalities, not addressing your flags at all which I would not consider my place to do. My only purpose for speaking up was to let guys know that the...

    Wind flag disasters

I think Wilbur is right that if a flag has design issues balancing them heavy to the tail end can help somewhat, but at the same time may create other issues… like putting the pivot in a bind. ( unless you have some sort of elaborate bearing set up in your pivot) Also unless you have your stands...

    Wind flag disasters

Sorry to butt in here, but whenever someone puts out there the “balance them heavy toward the tail” thing I need to set the record straight, otherwise I end up explaining this over and over to guys buying flags. Keep your Graham flags well balanced with the tails you are using attached. No need...

A Look Back... (Sniper King Shoot)

With the Sniper King shoot coming up here pretty quick I thought these old documents might be of interest. This "look backward" was originally posted by Allen Bench in the April 1990 NBRSA news.

    HW,Wally Siebert, passes

We got the sad news over the weekend at the Tacoma shoot. We knew his health hadn’t been very good, but it is still a shock when someone like him passes. Another fixture of the northwest is gone but not soon forgotten. So long my friend! Rick Graham

    Something positive about shipping

I've used Fedex for all my order deliveries for many years. In all that time only had one lost package and they paid the insurance on that package in short order with no drama. They have been excellent in book. Rick Graham

    Left hand shooters

Dick, To tell you the truth I have actually shot a score target or two and I’m familiar with the differences between group and score. I enjoy shooting both group and score, and don’t find one more or less challenging than the other, just different challenges. What I didn’t realize was that...

    Rail Gun interest

Here are a couple of pics of the mechanics of my older Powell rail. Some changes were made on the newer ones, but it has been a very good rail. Rick Graham

    Left hand shooters

Thanks Dick for the reply. Boyd is correct that I do mostly group shooting. That’s interesting though… I hadn’t considered there could be a difference between score shooting and group shooting where it didn’t slow you down if you take your hand off the stick to load. If anyone else has an...

    Left hand shooters

This thread is timely for me since I am helping a lefty get started in BR now. But reading the post so far, I have a question about port configuration, and shooting a joystick rest… Wouldn’t the most efficient way to do it be to use a left bolt, left port with left eject? That way you wouldn’t...

    Getting started?

I say jump in. BR is a lot of fun, even while you are learning the ropes. Just go in to it with the attitude that you will learn something and have some fun, and you will. Sounds like you have a very good gun for it. Benchrest almost always uses custom made bullets. I wouldn’t bother with...
