Looks like there is all kinds of room for the range officer. The only ranges that I have seen with more room is St Louis and Thunder Valley. I just hope that they get into the IBS, and then I hope that they work with Elbow Lake and Harris on the schedualling!!

1/8 th dot OK, I have never looked through a 15-55. But I hear some of you complain about the dot size So the dot is 1/8th inch at 100yds...correct...or 1.25 inches at 1000. The center x ring on an IBS 1000 yard target, measured outside the circle is right around 3". How can you call that...

I do not neck turn my dasher brass, but I do run turned necks in all of my other BR chambers. If it were me, I would iron out the necks of the stock 6 BR case and turn those cases all the way to the neck/sholder juncture. This will eliminate any chance of a doghnut forming down the road...

I got news for you...I just paid over $3.00 a piece for new EDGE brass. Rem brass...good for two to three firings.. Bertram brass...good for 20+ firings. Money well spent. Kind of like optics. But then again..see my post on the WSSM brass....go figure...:confused:

I have never used in Winchester 300 WSM brass......strictly norma. BUT....I have some Win. 25 WSSM brass necked up to 6.5 (6.5 WSSM. 264 WSSM, whatever you want to call it) and have beat the living crap out of them. I have 150 pieces that will outlast the tube. I have 7 firings on them now...

One of the best Dasher shooters on the planet shoots Fed 205 M's.

MarkR, Limiting to 13.5 pounds would eliminate every 600/1000/fclass rifle on the planet. Limiting to 35 gr of powder would eliminate at least 50 % of the 600/1000/fclass guns on the planet. These two rules alone would gaurintee this to be an all SR afair. Most shooters in all IBS...

Scott, I did the "lower node" thing my first year in the IBS 1K with my first comp gun. 300 Wby shooting the 210VLD at WELL UNDER 2700 FPS. Had two other sweet spots....2850 and 3050. Had an ES of 6. Only shot 14 matches that year at Harris and Pella, IA....Made 75% of the shootoffs and...

Not sure, but I think Al Forbs bumped the 6 target and maybe even the 10 target group aggs with a Dasher in 2012. I checked the IBS website but it is not up to date.

No..I said that they (a belted case) would be safe to shoot "once or twice". I FF brass that gets moved around WAY more than that. If you had a belt on a dasher case you wouldn't need to make a false sholder or jam the bullet, would you? The amount that the dasher brass gets blown out is WAY...

I agree. Start with new brass, and after the first firing size them like you would PROPERLY size a non-belted case. This DOES NOT mean screw the die down till it hits the shell holder, like the instructions say. Properly adjust the die so that you are bumping the sholders back about .001 to...
