Two Gun Fun
After shooting my First event at Webster City with my VFS gun, I felt I was missing something by not shooting the 6x class, so by the next event I had me a 6x Vhtr rig to compete in the two gun...can't imagine it any other way now.
Whatever your gunsmith does best and the technique that he is most comfortable with.
I like pillar, if theres a problem just pull it apart and fix it. Gun shoots zeros so don't believe pillar bedding will hurt your competitive chances.
That is if you compete.
Shield not tube
Your better off with a Mirage shield instead of a tube, the tube traps the hot air from the barrel and increases mirage, shield is the way to go.
Not sure but
If they were worth it you'd see them show up on the equipment lists, I have a Borden on my Hv and a McMillian Bruno on another HV both for the same (or pretty close) money as the HS Precision,
If you are building a HV for score build it to IBS Rules(Not NBRSA they don't have VFS)...
why spend all that?
Hornady annealer kit, been using it for 5 years now, all you need is a drill and a torch works great.
can run through cases very quick, about 7sec per case
Ditto
on the drummers throne, bought mine from a local music shop, all differant sizes and heights, just make sure you get one that has a double brace.
Pick a gizmo, gadget, component, just one that you feel helps the MOST in your BR discipline, a certain priming tool?, a certain doughnut? Curious as to whats out there and if I'm overlooking something.
Thanks in advance:)

Factory, now theres trouble
When setting up the postal this year we run a factory class, what I believe to be a true factory class meaning must be a repeater (gets rid of the single shot solid actions like cooper, rem 40x br, and so on. Rifle must be in the "spirit" of factory and everyone...
Well?
I Shot a 30br all last year and while it works great (it's a supertuned 700Lh) just shot a 250-21x for the 1st postal match, I thought I would try for a higher velocity node.
Stan Ware and Al Nyhus developed a cartridge called the 30 Wolf Pup which is based of the same 6mmbr case but is...
The Shine
The picture doesn't show off how well the action and barrel are polished, they look like a fine chrome shine, and the stock, that is just like a mirror as well.

Would Like to Thank Francis for putting on the Benchrest School last year as at the school, I received a gift certificate from Jim Borden towards a Rimrock BR action at a discounted price, Stan Ware at SGR custom Rifles in Westbrook MN put it all together and with the little work i've done...
