Why have a RB/LP/RE with no ejector???

Dick, I thought I saw this on the 6mmbr forum classifieds a few weeks ago but I can't seem to locate it. All I see now is a Kelby's RB/RP action with no ejector. Made I have confused two different ads. It didn't make since to me either, which is why I posted the question. Thanks for your...

Why have a RB/LP/RE with no ejector???

I am still figuring what my first true point blank BR rig is going to be. It is going to have to be like a Johnny Cash song, "I got it piece at a time... but it cost me a pretty dime"... Looking to purchase the action first. I have noticed a couple of new actions on different forums - both...

    holy shipping fee.

Been through this battle a couple times with UPS and FedEx. I have talked to higher ups at both Fed Ex and UPS to make sure about their policies. Any privately owned shipping center (even if it states UPS Store or Fed Ex) can institute their own policies on what they will and will not ship...

    Rem RX-100

Jeff and you are right. The old 6x47 is a 0.378". I was referring to the necked down 6.5x47 Laupa to make a 6x47 L that is somewhat popular. Luck with your build, Tim

    Savage 12 LRPV 12 twist and 87g V-max

I have 1:10 Krieger 28" barrel I would sell. Shoots the 95 BIBs well and will also shoot the 95 Berger VLDs. Never tried the 87s in this barrel, but should work fine. I purchased this barrel when I was waiting to get my first 1:8 6BR. I put less than 200 rounds down the tube. I have two...

    Savage 12 LRPV 12 twist and 87g V-max

At 800 ft, it doesn't quite take 3600 fps. I have a 28" 1:12 Shilen in a 6mm Rem (old school 244) that will shoot the 87s at 3450-3500 fps. Drop down to 3400 and it goes south. My 6mm Remmy does it, but you should have to hammer a 6BR to get their. One thing I have learned is that you never...

    Savage 12 LRPV 12 twist and 87g V-max

Get a box of 75 VMaxs and I bet things stabilize out. The 87s should be on the edge or beyond for the 1:12 in a 6BR.

Adjusting the busing on Redding S-type FL sizer

GG - I totally agree and have read the instructions. Mine say the same. I was thinking to back it off 0.200" or more. If someone knows the thread GG is referring to, please provide the link. No use in reinventing the wheel. Thanks, Tim

Adjusting the busing on Redding S-type FL sizer

Question: I read in Ratigan's book that some shooter don't neck size the entire neck to ensure the brass in concentric in the chamber. The instructions with my Redding S-type FL sizers states to screw the bushing all the way down. Never tried any else with this die (6BR and 30BR). I have a...

Suggested Load for Savage 10FP .308?

What brass do you plan to use? I have great luck with Winny brass, 168 SMK, Fed 210M primers, and 44.0 gr of Varget my Remmy 700. In my Savage I shoot Laupa brass, 210Ms, 175 SMK, and 44.5 gr of RE-15. These are both on the warm end and work up slowly in your gun. I recommend the 175 SMK...

    Sorting 107 SMK

I am planning to bring my 6BR to an F/Open shoot in next month. 600 yds. Do you guys sort your 107 SMK for bearing length? I have found that sorting my Bergers made a significant difference in point blank with 30 cal bullets in my group size. I have no experience at 600 yds with any but...

    Tuning to Conditions

Yes Jackie, the bullets are the same lot, heck same box. I have more on order, by I think your success with the 30BR last year will keep Randy busy for a while. I am running a lot of neck tension compared to you. Thanks to everyone for the tips and ideas. I will see how the neck range trip...

    Tuning to Conditions

I have only shoot this barrel 3 times. We had a lot of family illness to deal with and I never even made a match last year. I tried a different bullet each time I shot, BIB 118-10s, BIB 118-7s, & Cheeks 115s. The BIB-118-10s shot the best in limited tuning. It was a September day - low 70s...

    Tuning to Conditions

Ok....newbie questions again. I was trying to reproduce a good tune I had last year with my 30BR. Same temperature. Same bullets, powder and lot of primers. Way out of tune. I don't own a weather station yet, but I see many with team at matches. What environmental factors do you keep track...
