Smile In search of SuperShoot patches ... 1978, 1984

    Dear Friends,

We are in search of two Supershoot patches for 1978 and 1984 if anyone might have them and willing to give them up. We are making a quilt of all the patches over the last 45 years. These are the only two we don't have now for Supershoots that Dad attended -- all but the first 1973 match. If you have them, and want to talk, please email me sam@brawand.com -- Sam for Bill Brawand. Thanks to Kelby's for the donation of the other 9 patches I was missing.

    I have the 1978 model

I was not at the match, it was given to me by Skip Gordon.

I guess it does not mean too much to me in the circumstances, so if you really need one, I guess I can help out.

I happen to have a mint condition 1984 Super Shoot patch that I really don't need. I'm not registered on the NBRSA site, So, if you would be so kind as to pass this information on to the Brawands, I would appreciate it. Give them my email and I will try to help them out.

    Thanks,

    Dale D.

    Dear Bill,
Thanks ... I'm down to needed just 1984, but I understand. I'm just looking to see if anyone has an extra. Cheers, Sam for Bill

    Hi Dale,
Would you ask Bill for the 1984. that is the last one I need. If he emails me, I can give him the address and ask him about shipping costs, etc. Thanks, sam@brawand.com

    Hi Rob,
I just received the 1978 and Bill might have the 1984, so I'm set. I do thank you though for your willingness to contribute to a 45-year benchrest quilt! Hope to have it for Dad by Christmas. Sam for Bill

    Smile Preview

    Dear All,
Here is Bill's Hall of Fame jacket and the preview of the quilt, along with a wall at his cabin of a match shot in Holton, I believe ... 100 yrd, all 1's, signed; he has a note Michigan record .1482 ... I'm not sure what year, but the picture that was signed by many of his friends, he said was a nationals at Fairchance. As you can see, all of you mean a lot to Dad.

I have about 300+ of his patches for the actual wall-hanging/quilt (the pockets of the jacket, drawers, etc. were just stuffed with patches so we collected them all). This preview banner was made by our seamstress with a few extra patches, so I hung it at Camillus this weekend. Lovely shoot and lovely weekend. Everyone there is so nice and helpful. Many thanks for my Dad and for all the nice help everyone gives to him. He really does appreciate it. Sam

Well....if you ever needed help and Bill could do it - he did it. No questions asked!!! I've known some really nice people but none nicer than Bill Brawand. Additionally, a little bit of that niceness rubbed off on his young'uns.
