    Building a bench rest rifle

    Greetings
I am a newbie to this forum. I have only been shooting for about a year(I reload also). I would like to build a bench rest rifle. Does anyone have any recommendations for a BR experienced gunsmith within a 150 mile radius of Sacramento, CA., that could guide me on purchasing the right equipment the first time around. Thanks for your help. I look forward to learning a a lot from your experience.

There is a monthly BR shoot in Sacramento actually the range is Iion(spelling?) the first weekend of the month, you should take the time to go there and look up Dan Lutke or call him for match info and he should be able to point you in the right direction. His email is lutke5@sbcglobal.net

That used to be a somewhat normal question back when a BR rifle was a BR rifle. There's a bunch of stuff going on these days such that a "BR rifle" could be most anything. That said to ask this - What particular game do you plan to shoot?
