    Austin Rifle Club - Match Results Dec 18, 2022 - Rongero takes 1st !

ARC - 100 yd Match for Score
    19 Shooters - 16 VFS (includes 2 Hunter Rifles) , 3 Factory Rifles

Fairly chilly start in the high 40's today and winds were CALM..... till about an hour before starting. An unusual (for us) easterly breeze for first 2 matches then some reversals to close out the contest. Only 3 Factory rifles today and a tie for 1st place at 244-5X. After the tiebreaker of Match #1 scores, Paul Shanklin takes 1st and Hal Bogatz places 2nd.
Only 2 Hunter Rifles today (not enough for a class) so they pitched in and shot with the VFS dudes, and outplaced some of them. Another tie for 1st place in VFS at 250-18X. Had to go to Match #2 score for tiebreaker that put Robert Rongero as top shooter. 2nd place goes to Charles Moore, also shooting excellently. 3rd place winner was Larry Kochanowicz at 250-9X.
We welcome new shooter Josh White , new to the score scene but a long time shooter.
We will hand out our trophy cups for the highest scores in 2022 in each class at next match....Jan 29, 2023 , starts at noon. Hoppefuly it won't be as chilly.
Good shootin everyone. See ya'll next year.

Will post the scoresheet a little later so I can recall the Imgur file uploading from my already sketchy memory files.

Way to go Robert! Those old bullets that I sent you must be ok as well as the no name barrel.

Hey Coach, I can speak for Robert. He does not frequent the forum. The quick answer is yes, and yes. This was when he was testing. He used the same bullets in the match, plus the barrel you gave him.

"using bullets from Butch and Fed 205MAR"

    Texas size Thanks.
