Ibs rules 600 yard heavy gun

    from the 600 yard rules
"At the end of this allotted sighter period, and at the command of the Range Officer, all shooters
must fire their five (5) shots for record within a ten (10) minute time period. "

ladies and gentlemen, i shoot both heavy and lite in both ibs and nbrsa, and
    I HAVE NEVER SHOT A 600 YARD HEAVY GUN 5 SHOT TARGET...NEVER.

    WHAT GIVES ???

well i have to take back my original statement.
    looked in my old data.
when i first started shooting long range it is was 1k only, so always 5 shot for lite and 10 for heavy. as a rule i only shot light so it was all 5 shot.
i never shot ibs until late 2015, prior to that i only had a lite gun.

I never let that stop me from shooting heavy with a LG. I never saw the need for a heavy gun, if you have one that will track and come back in the box every time, and don't try to beat the conditions with a big caliber. 3-4 " ten shot groups are a reality on a good day, if you can read the wind you will do well if you are a picker.....
