River Bend's 2021 Centerfire Benchrest Matches -- Schedule & Results

Unless the virus and/or nasty weather interfere, we're shooting 100/200 yd. matches on the second Sat of each month at River Bend -- starting Jan 9th. We alternate between group and score on a monthly basis; we're shooting score this month. Come shoot with us and start getting points for the RIVER BEND TOP GUN -- 2021 AWARD.

Per Jim Andress, "RBGC matches are open to the public. Matches typically begin at 9:00AM, so arrive early. Cost for non-registered matches is typically $20. RV parking is available." At some matches, Jim pays money to the winners -- so, don't risk leaving money on the table by not being there.

Also, thanks to Miles Gibby for providing lunch for us -- BBQ and sides.

    Feb Report

Per Jim Andress: "The RBGC Board of Directors today enacted a ban on all matches and guests due to the continuing COVID-19 epidemic. This restriction will be in effect until at least March 1st, so the February group match scheduled for February 13th is cancelled. The ban may extend beyond March 1st depending on the conditions a month from now; I will try to keep you informed about March."

We had 6 shooters today, including Kevin McGowan, who drove up from Dublin to shoot his first match at River Bend, and Mike Harris, a long-time River Bend member who shot his first BR match today. Thanks to both of you for shooting with us and we hope you join us again soon. The weather was cloudy (~ 62 when we started shooting and ~ 62 when we finished); it rained during our lunch break and during the 10th target -- overall, I'd say the weather forecast was worse than the the weather. Thanks to: Jim Andress for running the match, scoring and providing lunch for us (grilled brats and dogs, chips and sodas), those who helped move the target frames, and all the shooters for being there -- also thanks to RBGC for providing this venue for us to shoot. It was a nice day.

Partial results -- 100 yard aggs:
    1. Roger Avery - .2098
    2. Jim Andress - .2176
    3. Kevin McGowan - .2544

Roger and Jim shot the small groups -- .128.

Partial results -- 200 yard aggs:
    1. Kevin McGowan - .2775
    2. Roger Avery - .2956
    3. Jim Andress - .2966

Roger shot the small group -- a .267.

    Partial results -- Grand Aggs:
    1. Roger Avery - .2527
    2. Jim Andress - .2571
    3. Kevin McGowan - .2660

Due to a registered match next month, the next "open" match is Jun 12th -- we'll be shooting group that day; come shoot with us.
