22 Savage High Power.
I have heard that the 99 Savage has selective bolts for fitting purposes. You Gentlemen have any information? I was gifted a Takedown 1899 built in 1913 with a bit of headspace.
Thanks Clarence.
Yes Al it has been done, Wolf Publishing of Prescott AZ a writer for the magazine had a Bump die made whereby .224 were bumped up to .227 also loading data.
Nobody has the .227 70gr bullets...
I'll try Graff and Sons, tried Midway and Brownell's for the bullets with no luck.
Thanks John.
I need a Die to Bump .224 bullets to .227 for the savage 99 in 22 High power, any ideas who can provide this die?
Where does one find chamber drawings for this Cartridge.
Ammonia will do the trick.
No help Boyd Microsoft edge nor Google will work, I get the same response, it shows the Pages but will not activate the drawings??
I was looking for the Chamber min/max for the 40 S&W.
Thanks for...
I have not been able to get Saami chamber drawings, the site will not bring the drawings up? anybody have access?
Ok the Tool is finished, measured the fired Lapua cases and the Tikka's chamber is .004 short of the SAAMI min spec. Sure would hate to stretch those Lapua cases more than the .002 that new cases...
That worked like a charm Boyd thank you, now to the Lathe.
Thanks Richard that was what I was looking for.
Thanks Steve guess I also need the Diameter at that measurement so I may turn a Die to measure with.
Saami is not working, anyone have the Dimension for the Datum Line of the 22-250 Remington.
Those Ejector marks on the cases may be the result of some type of lube in the chamber.
I shot the (Russian) primers for ten years in the 308 Palma Game, the Russian primers are larger in diameter that US made. The Russian primer must be sensitized after hitting the bottom to instill a...
Or You could alter the bolt to accept the Savage configuration.
Ron This cadet is square with the world at the Block and I would not want to lap much as the hardness is not very deep. This cadet is in the hot altered case Bee and is used for Coyote control. The...
Thanks Ron. I also put an attachment bolt through the frame to receiver and thought that the very little clearance between the falling Block and frame would take some load thus the reason for the...
Gentlemen. I am going to replace the Pins of the Martini Cadet chambered for the Mashburn Bee. I have both W1 and O1 rod I am guessing that the Oil Hardenable rod is stronger.
The reason is that...
Don.t know about the game you shoot but I seated long for 17 years in the Palma Game and 308 Win cal. I used .020 long and turned necks with .0005 to .001 neck tension. Remember to work the loads up...
It's about .002 below recess surface.
Thanks for the reply Mark, the idea is sound and I will approach that method. I do not use the large firing pin in any of my target rifles due to the primer blanking of the large loose pin's. This...
Boyd the pressures are within normal loads, the quarry is that the Pushfeed Winchesters do not exhibit this condition with like loading and the same type of ejector hole. I don't shoot hot stuff...
Have had a bunch of the 700, 721, 722 Remington actions and all seem to have the same fingerprint of the ejector hole on the cases when fired. I have lately extended the bottom of the ejector stem...
