Well, it missed me (mostly) but still put on a show. Here's the pier at around noon today. Wind here (at Pensacola beach) was 30-40 knots, gusts to 55 and onshore surf running 16-20 feet and 25 feet a few miles offshore.
For once, it was too much for even the surfers. The Gulf wasn't like Hawaii with the long combers rolling one after another, it was frothing chaos. The pier usually stands 25 above the water.
I'll take my 6' of snow any day, that dosen't come into the house even though its wet! Always told my sister she was crazy to live there, she likes the heat. I'll take the cold.
