After the Cardinals nearly blew an 18-point lead over Northern Iowa Thursday night, Cardinals coach Rick Pitino came to his postgame press conference in a lousy mood. He was much more cheerful Saturday night, even though his team won. Welcome to the coach's life.[boldface added]

Actually, his team lost Saturday night... Why I like edited, proofread, print publishing.

As far as I know, I am responsible for the largest retraction ever printed in our local paper, which is part of a large chain. It involved black letter firearms law in our state. The mistake was front page, above the fold, and the retraction was on the front page of a section, starting at the top, two columns wide, and ran down the page about two thirds of the way. So much for the perfection of print editors.
