Classifieds Protocol?

I registered a long time ago but have never posted. I was wondering if it would be acceptable to post an add in the classifieds given my lack of prior posts?

Also, I would be looking for assistance in establishing a value on a custom 10.5# 6ppc gun custom built for me on a Hall action by Dwight Scott years ago, but never used. A sudden big change in life rendered it to the back of my safe and there it has be sleeping comfortably. Any help would be greatly appreciated - I can PM you the details. Thank you.

Sure, why not. Dwight's top shelf. Action is first rate but a bit dated with ejector guns so popular, that said probably $1500 +- given how current stock design is.
 
Best to sell the scope seperately? Also brand new with original box.
 
First question - why not? I was a member here for 5 years prior to my first post. My first BR rifle was a Hall M action 6ppc with a Shilen barrel, and 3 extra barrels. I paid $1,500 for it.
 
If it truly is new and unfired it should easily be worth $1500, since as stated by Tim non ejector actions in older style stocks bring somewhat lower prices these days. I would ask $1700 and post very good photos. If it really is in very good condition and you can get someone to believe it truly is an unfired barrel you should be able to get that much. It would be worth even more if it had something special in the way of a paint job .

Since he never mentioned a scope I assume he is not selling a scope with rifle or at least knows to adjust his price accordingly.

FYI there's rich history of classified use without ever posting, always felt it was a good service to the shooting community at large.
 
Thanks for your feedback. After fumbling around with the camera and the classified page, I think I was successful in getting it listed. I am going to list the scope and gun together. Thanks again.
 
Another quick question: Is there a way to edit a posted classified? Could not figure it out if there is. Wanted to mention that I purchased that scope new too, and it is still as-new with the original box.
