ARC 100 yd score match
22 shooters - 19 VFS, 3 Factory Rifle
Temp at start was 44, Temp at end was 52. Stiff North wind 12-15 with gusts to 21 mph gave us some wind chill in the 30's. YES, it was a demanding match with those gusty wind conditions. Yet some of the seasoned shooters were able to stay clean.
4 shooters were able to shoot clean. Big Larry Kochanowicz takes 1st place VFS with a 250-20X. Speedy Gonzales got 2nd at 250-17X and 3rd VFS was Matt Johnson with a 250-12X. And getting Honorable Mention for the last clean score was Marlon Goates, shooting 250-10X for 4th place. Welcome to new shooters Stephen Cordell and Bill Hounshell. Staying clean today took some effort and concentration thru ALL the Matches.
Factory class was won by Jon Aronson at 244-8X with his 6.5CM. 2nd factory was Hal Bogatz at 243-7X using a 6BR and Prentice Craig came in 3rd.
Not the best setting today for really good scores. But you gotta shoot at match time regardless of the conditions.
Our last match of the year will be the Sunday after Christmas, Dec 28, STARTING AT 10 am.
PLEASE NOTE : ALL ARC BENCHREST MATCHES WILL START AT 10 am, year round.
Thanks to all who came out to shoot and didn't complain about the wind chill......too much.
