    Randolph Front Rest

I use my Randolph shooting centerfire br occasionally. Also have a Sinclair w/a Shadetree top. Prefer the Randolph as thats what I have the most time behind. A joystick is certainly faster but doesn't sound like thats a concern. Certainly isn't for me. Go for it, you're already use to it.

    IR 50/50 indoor Nationals (yards)

Congratulations to Ralph Van Horn for his meters win. Also to Don Kowalsky for the 6gun agg. Nice shooting gentleman. Tried uploading file but it was too large.

    IR 50/50 indoor Nationals (yards)

TKH, don’t apologize for bragging a bit, you’re earned it. Multiple championships for your work this year, & others, that needs to be acknowledged. Congratulations! Wish you had stayed Congrats to Maurice! As for Gary, you’d be hard pressed to find a nicer gentleman to give you fits. Bet it...

    Jeff Patterson's J-PAT SPEC Rifles

I've always felt a little bad for both the owners & gunsmiths of some of these much talked about rifles, Spec rifles & others, if they've under performed. The expectations are in my mind are unrealistically high. Any of us that have been at it a while know there are too many variables in...

    IR 50/50 Sporters

Pat, I liken sporter shooting to shooting using aperture sights as I'm sure most will. It really isn't as hard as some would make out using a 6x once you put it in that perspective. The past several years I've seen some darn good sporters selling for pennies on the dollar. Mostly at National...

    IR 50/50 Sporters

Go 4 it!!! You won't be out a thing. The purse is the same either way! There was another gentleman from NY & a sporter was all I ever saw him shoot. Thats exactly what he did, turn the variable up. When sporter matches were introduced he held a record for a while. It can be done. As to your...

    IR 50/50 Sporters

Stu, shoot the sporter in 3 gun for all the cards. That’s what I have been doing except for the Nationals. Probably been better off if I had shot it. Heck, one year down to Piney Hill at the indoor UL Nationals I won a target with it with a 250-20 I think. The only disadvantage I see is eye...

I would like to thank all the folks at Fairchance for all the hospitality & exceptionally run match.. A special thanks to Gary Hittle for enduring all three days running targets, scoring for the Sporter Nationals, all while having back troubles. Also to his wife for the incredible lunches. To...

Jerry, please put me down for them all. Will the range be open on Thursday for any sort of practice? That would help decide my travel plan. Thanks Keith Royal

    SPEC Rifles

I've always enjoyed seeing & competing against not just Spec rifles but well known named rifles as well. I tend to be pretty nonchalant approaching any match but when you see them, you realize you'd better turn your hat around & get focused. I enjoy the challenge. Keith

Fairchance reopens for IR 50/50 Matches

A Welcomed Change.....I think? I welcome the challenge Tony, I think? I've always heard on how difficult the range is & want to scratch the itch so to speak. I'm glad its worked out & they're shooting 50/50 again. Fairchance was on my short list a few years ago & feared we may have lost it...

Chief City Shooters IR 3-gun Pontiac, IL

Scott, also sorry to hear J.D's had some health issues. I chuckled a little when I read interim in your post. I hope for J.D's sake alone that works out, but have been an interim as a Treasurer of BRFGA for 7 years!!!! Chief City & IR 3Gun couldn't be in better hands. I've made note on the end...

    Fail to Fire (FTF)

Three years ago I was getting quite a few FTF’s. Hits looked fine but when removing the lead it revealed that it was just knocking chunks of primer out. Two years ago bought a lot that would not chamber in my sporter as well as others. A friend last year had issues with FTF’ with 10x as well as...

    Jeff Patterson's J-PAT SPEC Rifles

Did Jeff replace the barrel for the new owner? It just brings up the question of is it still a spec rifle if its in other than its original state then it left Jeff's shop? If Jeff rebarreled it then,....maybe. If some else did, definitely not, & should no longer be considered a spec rifle, IMO...
