I appreciate the response. It's my right eye and I am right handed. Have an ARA match tomorrow and plan on using my left eye to get lined up. Will then shoot heads up. Just have to deal with it till I can have the surgery.

Question for the rimfire benchrest shooters who have had cataracts removed. Could you see much better after the surgery? If you wore glasses before did you still need them? Did it help your shooting? About to have it done and was wondering what others have experienced. Thanks for your time.

Top grade ammo has less variance. With that said I do know a few that check overall length and concentricity.

In my experience nothing needs to be done to the 2500X action. It's ready to go. As to barrel contours, that's a matter of personal preference unless you are trying to make a certain weight class.

Thanks Mr Wilbur. I don't reverse them but was just wondering what the thought process was about reversing them. I personally only use one a couple of times, then dispose of them.

Just asking. Why should you not reverse the bronze brush while cleaning your barrel? As bronze is much softer than stainless steel what is the thought behind not reversing direction? I understand you would not want to pull it back into the chamber area as it would deposit some crud.

Mr. Dave. Thanks for your response. It does make me feel better that you have shot yours in some cooler weather and it still performed well. I live in Texas and compete in Arkansas and Louisiana. Temperature below 30 - 40. degrees when shooting are rare.

Mr Gordon or Mr Jim, does the 2 groove have any issues shooting in cooler temperatures?

Any opinions on a benchmark reverse taper 2 groove barrel. Have a friend with one that shoots very well. Just wondering what the general opinion is on them.
