Features of the Time Precision SLV and ALV Actions
The large diameter receiver and long tenon contribute to the action's increased bedding surface. Diameter 1.42" on SLV. ALV is nominally 1.5" wide. Diameter of SHV 1.70".
The receiver is threaded 1 1/16-18 thread, 1 1/2 inches deep to insure greater barrel stability.
The actIon is machined and ground from a pre-hardened 4140 chrome moly steel billet.
The SLV and ALV receiver is drilled and tapped for Weaver #35 mount bases (.860 hole spacing). ALV has integral rib for scope rings.
The action is available in single shot or repeater. An aluminum or steel Winchester 3 position style safety available on both SLV and ALV models.
The cone breech system insures uniform gas flow and positive feeding in a single shot or repeater model.
The bolt utilizes twin cocking cam surfaces, reducing the effort needed to lock and unlock the bolt.
The ALV utilizes post '64 Winchester style extractor.
Bolt fluting available at additional cost.
Trigger brackets included on AL:V, SLV, SHV.
Uses all triggers currently available for Rem 40X, 700 series. |
