Optimal barrel length ?

Old shooter new to rails. Would someone with first hand experience please share with me the optimal length you would chose. Thanks in advance and god bless. I I have 26 inches of 1.350 to work with.

I asked that of a friend who rode his rail gun into the HOF, he told me to make it as long as possible cause if it’s a shooter you can keep whacking it off and re chamber it for years and years!
