When & where are the Texas matches?

I would like to shoot some 600 yard matches but don't know when or where they are held? I live in west Texas near Midland. Any help would be appreciated

Txshooter, The only 600 yard match we have was June 23 - 24 at Huntsville. Attendance was pretty weak and so I am not sure Mike will continue the shoot in the future. It is pretty hard to expect him to work himself silly, not shoot the match so he can get it run properly, lose money, and continue to do so.
We do have some other shoots that are doing just fine. One coming up in October is in San Angelo. Send me a PM and I will get you some info.

There are some long range matches 500 or 600 not sure, in New Brunfels but they are not registered.

Vern, Any idea who holds these, where they are held, or what kind of match they might be?

Vern, I appreciate the info. I spoke with one of the participants last night and he confirmed that the matches at New Braunfels are F-Class. They shoot once a month on the first Saturday I believe. Txshooter indicated a wish to shoot 600 yard matches but did not specify what discipline. There are only two NBRSA registered long range matches in Texas. The 600 yard match that was held at Huntsville and the 1000 yard match that was held at San Angelo (actually nearer to Water Valley). I suspect that TXshooter knows about the F-class matches because there is an active F-class group of shooters in the Midland area.

There are more un-registered or club long range matches in Texas then registered. Mostly clay bird shoots. 400 yd clay bird shoot in October at Water Valley (San Angelo)
