    MSC is a supply company.

Now called MSC Industrial Supply Company.

Their catalog is about 3-1/2" thick, and has thousands of goodies for folks.

Hi, Butch. Other than the differences in the product line, how is McMaster-Carr better? I've had good experiences with MSC, but never used McMaster-Carr. What am I missing?

    Thanks

McMaster Carr has the easiest website to find parts, bills me after shipping, good quality parts, no question return policy, great prices, and shipping in just 2-3 days.

What I like about McMaster Carr, is they will ship in a manner that fits the product. Something small they will put it in a padded envelope and mail it. MSC has a minimum in a box even if it was one screw, like 10 bucks worth or something. But, where I live, I can order something from MSC and have it the next day! So it all depends......

Thanks, Butch, guys. If I recall correctly, using McMaster Carr's website was the reason I went with MSC direct. I just charge my order to my NRA Visa and have it the next day if I order before 10PM. I like the way MSC identifies Made in USA parts, also. I'll take another look at McMaster Carr to see how they've updated.

    Jim
