600 Yard Shoot Results - S. E. Ohio, June 23, 2012

This past Saturday, June 23, 2012, we had our 4th 600 yard shoot for calendar 2012.

Results Summary:

• 30 individuals participating in the shoot
• 90 targets shot
• 7 groups measuring under 2 inches
• Smallest group shot was 1.049” which was shot by Don Whitlock in Match 3. This is a new 600 yard record for the S. E. Ohio range.
• 1 perfect score of 50 which was shot by Roger Putney in Match 2
• 21 opportunities to win (7 for each Match)
• 12 different individuals winning one or more times

Result Details:

Best 4-Shot Group

For as long as I have been shooting this long range benchrest stuff, I have frequently heard "if only I hadn't had that one flyer round............". So earlier this year we started an additional competition for those shooters who opted to participate which is the "best 4-shot group". Starting with this posting, we will begin reporting the best 4-shot group winners. Match 1 winner was Bob Denver with 1.147" 4-shot group. Match 2 winner was Dan Pritt with 1.134" 4 shot group. And, after the dust settled over celebration of Don Whitlock's range record setting 5-shot group, he won the best 4-shot group with .849".
